FACIAL OILS
Facial oils can feel like an unnecessary extra step in your skincare routine but if you choose the right oil then it have a dramatic effect on your skin. If you feel like your skin is lacking radiance, hydration or even tone you can benefit from the nourishment of an oil.
Even oily skin can benefit with oils actually helping to balance skin out and over time skin can be less oily.
Don't use facial oils instead of moisturiser, oils help to protect and seal in the moisture already in your skin. Therefore it will be the last step in your skincare routine. If you use Gua Sha massage or a facial roller it can be really nice to pair this with applying your oil so you have a nice surface to work with.
Some oils can be mixed into your regular moisture cream for an added boost.
Some oils if formulated properly can be used neat (only if specified, never use essential oils neat, check the label)
There are many oils available for all skin concerns and for all skin types. At the moment in the winter months skin tends to be a it a bit drier and a bit more stressed with the season changes, cold winds and rain, central heating and general winter illness. So it's a great time to give your skin a bit more luxury with an oil. Pairing it with a facial massage will leave you feeling like you've had a home spa!
