WEDDING terms & Conditions
for ELLE HITCHENS MAKEUP
It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking form to agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By completing the booking form and paying a booking fee, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by these conditions.
• BOOKING FEE: A non refundable booking fee of £100 is required to confirm your date in the diary - this will be deducted from your overall final balance.

• MINIMUM SPEND: Due to popular demand there is a minimum booking of bride + 2, excluding any consultation and travel costs. If your booking does not meet the minimum you may still book in at the equivalent cost. Mon - Thurs bookings excluded.

• PRE-WEDDING CONSULTATIONS: These are not compulsory but are recommended. Appointments are held Monday-Friday at Elle’s home studio in BS5. After your appointment, the wedding date will be held for 48 hours. If no booking fee has been paid after 48 hours, the date will be released for other bookings. You will be notified by email if your date is due to be released. If you have decided not to have a pre-wedding consultation you will accept that if a chosen look does not work on the wedding day or there are circumstances where there is a mismatch in styles, approach or expectations, a refund on the wedding day will not be offered. Cancellation fees of 50% are applicable if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment time or do not attend your appointment.
• PAYMENTS: Are to be made by bank transfer. The final balance is due one month before the wedding date or if you are opting to pay by cash - this is due in full on the day. Kindly note PayPal is not accepted.
• TRAVEL: Mileage is charged at 50p per mile based on wedding venue/location of bridal party. Venues over 2 hours away will be charged travel time at £20 per per hour and require accommodation the night before to ensure no issue with traffic on the wedding morning. Any outstanding travel expenses are to be paid in full on the day if they have not been included in the final payment. Any parking, toll, congestion charge and/or accommodation costs applicable will be added to your final balance.

• DESTINATION WEDDINGS: Accomodation, transfers and travel time will be included in your final quote in addition to makeup costs. Elle will arrange all her own transport and accommodation within a set budget and provide an itinerary for final confirmation before booking.

• ADDITIONAL ARTISTS: For bridal parties of 8 and over, an additional artist is required so that all services can be completed in adequate time before the ceremony. There is a fee of £100 to secure this service.
• CANCELLATIONS: In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel please let Elle know as soon as possible so that the date can be filled. The booking fee is non refundable. If you cancel your wedding within 8 weeks to the wedding date, 50% of the final balance will be charged. Completed pre-wedding consultations are not refundable. Members of the bridal party who cancel on the day will not be refunded, services can be transferred to another member of the bridal party if required.

• POSTPONEMENTS/CHANGE OF DATE: In the unfortunate event that you have to move your wedding date please let Elle know as soon as possible to check availability of the new date and rebook your service. A postponement/change of date acts as a cancellation and may incur a fee (see Cancellations). If you change your wedding date to another year, a supplement may be applicable to bring inline with a price increase for that year.
• ALLERGIES/HEALTH CONCERNS: Please state at the time of booking if anyone in the booking has any known allergies. Please notify Elle (and any assistant artists) if anyone in the bridal party has any cold sores/contagious skin/eye infections on the wedding day. For hygiene, Elle and assistant artists reserves the right to not use certain products on clients with cold sores/contagious skin/eye infections and own lipsticks may be necessary in the event of cold sores. Elle and assistant artists will not be liable for any reactions to any of the products used. All products/tools are regularly replaced/sanitised and strict hygiene practices are followed.
• ILLNESS/EMERGENCY COVER: In the event of illness, injury or personal emergency, in the first instance Elle will endeavour to find a replacement makeup artist. Full pre-wedding consultation notes and any relevant pictures will be given to the replacement makeup artist to recreate the look. In the unlikely event that a replacement can not be found a full refund of balance paid will be given minus any completed appointment costs.
• FORCE MAJEURE: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of either party, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, or government regulations, the contract may be cancelled or postponed without penalty. Both parties agree to make reasonable efforts to reschedule the wedding for a mutually agreeable date. Any deposits or payments made prior to the cancellation or postponement will be applied to the rescheduled date (if available).
• PRODUCTS: Elle is not affiliated with any one brand and does not sell products. Elle can provide a personal shopping service and can purchase lipstick/any touch up makeup required (usually at a discount) on your behalf and add to your balance. If you prefer to purchase your own lip colour for touch ups, please ask for details of products used at your trial.​​
